Well, for the specifics, this 'New iPad' as Apple has decided to call it, is featuring a new Retina display, Apple's new A5X Chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel iSight camera capable of capturing 1080p HD video. iPad now supports Wifi or AT&T’s and Verizon’s 4G LTE network connectivity, while maintaining its record with 10 hour battery life. The New iPad
At the event, Tim Cook talked about how Apple is pushing the 'Post-PC' Revolution. The term originated as a brainchild of Steve Jobs and ever since Apple is working towards selling more number of tablets than PCs. And guess what, they are quite successful with it. Then there was a talk about what would Apple name it's third generation iPad, but much to everyone's surprise, the post-Steve company has decide to call it just 'iPad'. Neither "iPad 3", nor "iPad HD", it’s just the iPad. We like the sound of it and of course the simplicity it brings to the brand is commendable .
Another feature we liked is that the new iPad’s Retina display delivers four times the number of pixels of iPad 2. The 3.1 million pixels in the Retina display are more than one million more pixels than an HDTV. Thus, we have the web pages have razor sharp and incredibly realistic images and video. Discussing the Post-PC Revolution, one might want to argue that even today we find typing email easier and faster on a physical keyboard. We have keyboard shortcuts that we use regularly. Also, the designers don't get the same feel while using the iPad, which apparently does not have a stylus either. Well, to each his own. We would like to know your opinion about the new iPad. Shoot at the comments.
