The Green Wheel: A NASA Inspired Rotary Hydroponic Garden

The Green Wheel developed by DesignLibero is a NASA-inspired rotary #-Link-Snipped-#. NASA has had some heavy-budget ideas over the years which were disposed off. One such disposed off concept was of a rotary hydroponic system, aimed to offer astronauts fresh herbs and salads when on long space missions. This same smart idea has been brought back to life in a stylish design precise for earth-based implementations.

With pretty much the same function, the rotary garden has evolved greatly in an aesthetic sense. The huge growing area and better illumination assists in the cultivation of more number of plants. The light source is positioned at the center, while the plants are arranged around it, with the wheel's gravity effect optimizing the production. With the outer solid surface to hide the engine rotating the plants, the garden also has a reservoir and a pump automatically irrigating the plants. The wheel too is quite easy to use, with its interface manageable with both a smartphone or a tablet.
