temperature sensor to mechanical output

is there any kind of temperature sensor which directly converts the temperature input into mechanical(linear or rotational) output...

    mm i think bimetal temperature sensor work that way. It consist in 2 metals rolled together, so when the temperature change, they dilate in different magnitude so u can register the difference in the deflection.
