Tata Megapixel Electric Car Concept: 900 Km Range!

We love #-Link-Snipped-#! The Indian company has been at the forefront of automobile engineering innovation. The company made headlines few years ago with the launch of world's cheapest car#-Link-Snipped-#. Last year, the company showcased the Tata Pixel concept and this year, the company is back with a bang at the Geneva Auto Show. Tata Motors has introduced the Tata Megapixel - the hybrid electric vehicle capable of covering whooping 900 kilometers on single fuel tank. The Tata Megapixel also reduces carbon emissions to just 22 grams/km and before all our mileage hungry Indian friends get all excited about this car; let us tell you that the car may never hit the roads and remain a 'concept' at least for the next few years.

Mr. Prakash Telang, MD of Tata Motors said that the car has been designed by the engineers working in Tata design centers across India, Italy and the UK. The car demonstrates the company's future design direction. Tata Megapixel has been built on the 'Tata Pixel' concept which takes its 'Zero Turn' drive system to a step further resulting into better maneuverability of the car. The car's turning radius, 2.8 meters is surely impressive!

Tata Megapixel Sliding Doors

Tata Megapixel is quite 'Indian' in design and 'Global' in styling. It offers double sliding door mechanism & B-pillar less design system. The engine layout offers spacious interiors capable of accommodating 4 adults. We offer you photos from the Geneva Auto Show 2012 where the car is on display. Given the 100km/ltr range this car offers, we'd be willing to mortgage our homes to buy this car, only if Tata Nano lets us buy one. Do tell us your views about the car!
