Swipe Technologies has been quick to launch the third member of the Elite family titled the Elite Note. The Swipe Elite Note is an entry-level phablet sized smartphone that features some impressive specs. The Swipe Elite Note is being sold as a Flipkart exclusive for Rs. 7999. Since there are no messy flash sales involved you can buy one easily on the Flipkart website from today, the question now is should you? We shall help you make a decision by taking a closer look at the Swipe Elite Note. The Swipe Elite Note starts things off pretty bad as Swipe does the catastrophic mistake of sticking a 5.5inch display that is coated with Dragontrail glass with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Normally when manufacturers stick a display that is more than 5-inch they like to ensure full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) resolution but Swipe’s mistake or chipset compatibility issues results in a low contrast display with low PPI.

Swipe Elite Note recovers dramatically by building its body out of magnesium alloy and making the back cover out of premium sandstone. Underneath the hood, the Swipe Elite Note houses a MT6735 SoC from MediaTek which is a 64bit smartphone platform with LTE connectivity. We get a 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, ARM Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The Swipe Elite Note has an internal memory of 16GB out of which 11.35GB remains vacant for the user. You get the option of expanding the storage with the help of microSD cards of up to 32GB. On the camera front things get better with the presence of LED flash assisted 13MP sensor on the rear and on the front we get a 5MP sensor for selfies.

The Swipe Elite Note runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) which is customised as Freedom OS by Swipe. The Swipe Elite Note is powered by a 3000mAh battery offers up to 14 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby. While the Swipe Elite Note sound like a decent deal you can spend a little extra and go for the #-Link-Snipped-# which costs a little more but features a much better AMOLED screen.
