Looking for a large-aperture lens, vast zoom range an efficient image sensor in your camera? Sony's new Cyber-Shot series RX10 III might just be the right device for you. Featuring a fantastic f2.4 to 4 optical 25x zoom, 24-600 mm lens and a 1.0-type stacked CMOS image sensor, the new Sony RX camera will let users capture beautiful shots even when clicking top close-up photos or capturing objects in high-speed movement. It so happens that Sony had announced the RX10 III camera about a month earlier in the US. Today, they've officially launched it for India and it's slated to go on sale from Friday i.e . 29th April.

Coming to the top features of the camera - We have an 8 ED glass elements design which includes 2 ED aspherical and 1 Super ED glass element that makes the large-aperture lens unit super compact and brings corner-to-corner image sharpness at any zoom level. Macro shooting of subjects that are as near as 3 cms or as far as 72 cms is real sharp.

The optical SteadyShot feature is equivalent to 4.5-step faster shutter, so you can capture that perfect shot of the birds beak and eyes even when he never stays idle. So, essentially even without high shutter speed, the image stabilisation techniques that the RX10 III employs brings about sharp photos even in dim light or large ranges.

The camera's fixed lens design, which consists of precisely adjusted lens and imaging plane, maintains high-resolution from the edges to the center, thereby taking full advantage of the image sensor. The support for an ultra-telephoto coverage of up to 600 mm, lets users capture difficult-to-approach subjects even in super slow motion such as athletes in action.

Last but not the least, the Exmor CMOS sensor with DRAM chip on the camera features high-speed readout, anti-distortion shutter and continuous shooting with reduced blackout. Other features to note include - a BIONZ X image processing engine, Fast Intelligent AF with high-speed, accurate subject detection and high-precision 4K movies with wider range.

There's a 2.95 inch TFT LCD screen for the user's ease of use and a 0.39-type electronic viewfinder. On the interface front, there's microUSB terminal, USB 2.0, micro HDMI port and a microphone, whereas on the connectivity front, there's Bluetooth, NFC and WiFi support.

With that we come to the end of the top features on the Sony RX10 III camera. Priced at Rs. 1,14,990 in India, the Sony camera will start selling from Friday. What are your thoughts about the camera? Share with us in comments section below.
