Suzuki introduced its compact car 'Celerio' in UK in February this year and it has so far been widely received in the country. The company recently revealed that they have delivered 2000+ models and are looking to further expand the hatchback's reach. In India, the car has got a new Maruti Suzuki's Hatchback Celerio Gets The ZXi Automatic Model, and since the company was at it, they also released two new derivatives in the United Kingdom. Celerio is now available in Dual Jet and AGS or Auto Gear Shift engine models. While the Celerio Dual Jet is priced at £8,499, the AGS model bears a price tag of £9,799. We took a look at what the company has to offer on both models. Let's take you on a tour.

Some of the standard features which are kept intact are: alloy wheels, remote central locking, DAB radio, USB/Bluetooth connectivity, 6 airbags, front fog lamps and some higher end models have body coloured door mirrors, rear electric windows and chrome front grille.

The Celerio Dual Jet injection system model positions the fuel injectors near to the engine inlet valves and provides for effective transfer to engine by having a finer fuel mixture. The engine emits 84g/km of CO2 and delivers a mileage of 78.4 mpg on the EC Combined fuel cycle. The company claims that this makes Celerio the most fuel-efficient car at a price below £10,000.

Coming to the Celerio Auto Gear Shift (AGS) model, here we have a hatchback having an Intelligent Shift Control Actuator positioned at the top of the transmission that operates the gearshift and clutch automatically. This one has 99g/km of CO2 emissions and the company highlights an innovative feature in Suzuki AGS called the low speed ‘creep’ facility suitable for driving cars in heavy traffic and in parking. This feature allows the car to move in gear without the accelerator being applied.

That's all you ought to know about the new variants. We would love to hear your thoughts about the two new Celerio models in UK, their features and pricing. Share your opinions with us in comments below.
