Startup Gurukul - A Place Where Entrepreneurs Realize Their Dreams
Just a few minutes ago, I wrote a brief email to an influential personality who's trying to drive development in central India. I was asked for my ideas and while writing the mail; I thought of something called "Startup Gurukul". Here's my concept of a Startup Gurukul:-
A startup Gurukul would be a mega startup incubator that provides all the necessary infrastructure to the startup companies. That is, imagine a big campus where there is a big building or several smaller buildings that host startup offices. The campus also provides dorms to then founders and their teams so that they don't have to commute long distances to work and are able to spend more time perfecting their ideas and executing them.
It would be similar to a big University campus that brings together all the like minded entrepreneurs and talented engineers who want to work on their ideas. It will also bring together the venture capitalists, angel investors, industry experts, established entrepreneurs and engineering students from surrounding colleges etc. to create a 'startup ecosystem'. Each startup will pay annual fee that will take care of their living expenses including food. Since everything will be on a larger scale; everyone will benefit because of the subsidized prices.
Such a Startup Gurukul would definitely help in driving growth & spreading awareness about entrepreneurship.
