Sony's New 2TB Hard Disk Drive PSZ-HA2T In India For Rs. 16,700

Sony India has launched its new 2TB (terabyte) portable storage hard disk drive - the PSZ-HA2T that features a reinforced protective case and is engineered with a heavy silicon cover to make it scratch or damage proof and shock-resistant. Coming with a USB 3.0 port and two FireWire 800 ports, the Sony PSZ-HA2T hard drive features a data transfer rate of 120 MBps and 5400 RPM disk speed. At these speeds, users can transfer approximately 30GB of video to the SSD drive in less than 90 seconds via USB 3.0.

Users can easily switch between the file systems - FAT32, HFS+ and NTFS. Being Mac and Windows compatible, the new 2 TB hard disk from Sony is stackable and therefore comes with easy daisy-chaining and increased air flow between drives, which results in less heat build-up.

An LED indicator lets users know the status of data transfers. Compliant with MIL-STD-810G standard, the IP5X dust-resistant standard and the IPX4 splash-resistant standard, the data stored on this hard drive can be used in a range of environments and conditions.

Priced at Rs. 16,700 in India, Sony offers the hard drive with a 3 year warranty. The PSZ-HA2T joins Sony's portfolio of hard disk drives that consists of a 500GB and 1TB (PSZ-HA50 and PSZ-HA1T) hard disk model and a 256GB solid state drive (PSZ-SA25).
