Snapchat Update Features Two-Factor Authentication And More
Snapchat app has been a popular instant messaging service next only to WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat and LINE on a global scale. The app that became popular for snapping and sharing of photos and videos (after adding captions of course) has fast been adopted for instant messaging primarily. Snapchat Inc. has now revealed a new version to their app. In the updated version 9.9.0, Snapchat app on Android and iOS brings new features such as double tap screen while recording a snap to switch between the front and rear facing cameras instantly. We believe this is great for making short films and give boost to creativity for capturing videos. Another important feature is two-step login verification wherein users have to put a code delivered to them via SMS on the registered number to be able to access the app. This double verification method is a tried and tested mechanism by many internet giants including Google and Twitter.
The two-step authentication process feature can be turned on and off from the settings and isn't a mandatory process. Once set up, users can also create a recovery code to keep the device someplace safe in the event that you lose or somehow break your phone.
Last but not the least of features in the new Snapchat update brings 'Battery Filters'. Using this feature that lets you add a little something to your Snaps when the battery is full or on the lower side. This feature is useful only if you have a craving to share the status of your device's battery with you friends. (We aren't yet sure why this is helpful.)
