Theme of SATTVA 2012:

This year Sattva has chosen the theme “ EXPRESS ".

”In today’s fast paced world an individual has no time to wait; they want everything the ‘Express Way’. A single word like “Express” can have so many different meanings when used in all different contexts. This multidimensional word touches every aspect of our being. “ SATTVA Express ” will take the youth to a journey where every compartment of life will be touched in an innovative way so as to give an opportunity to everyone to express themselves in their way.

Sattva has had participants from colleges throughout the country in its past editions and this year will be no different. Students representing their colleges from all over the country are expected to make their presence felt .The event will be held from 22nd to 25th March 2012.

    Purity of the soul, enlightenment of the mind, existence of truth, triumph over evil; all of this combines in the great Hindu Philosophy to give the word “SATTVA – the existence of reality”
    SVKM’s NMiMS Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management And Engineering presents its annual cultural festival “SATTVA – 12” taking up the word expression and bringing to light its various forms.
    “SATTVA – EXPRESS”, takes up the unique yet binding chord of the human nature to express various emotions in the form of music, literature, art, dance sports, executive capabilities over the period of 3 days from 23rd to the 25th of March.
    The previous versions of SATTVA have been graced by eminent personalities like Madhuri Dixit, Naseerudin Shah’s Theatre Company. Live performance by the popular Hindi band Euphoria on two occasions, Bollywood actors like Karan Oberoi, Anushka Dhandekar, Sonu Kakkar, Bobby Bhonsale and musicians like Bappi Lahiri and Shaan who by spontaneously coming on stage mesmerized the crowd with his vocal chords.
    Many brands have shown a keen interest in associating themselves with the Fest like MTV, Indian Oil, Olympus, Mainland China, IBM, Raymond, Hindustan Times, popular food joint Cad-b, styling brands like Spykar, Raymond, musician’s hub Furtados with leading newspapers like Hindustan Times, Janbhoomi and Mahrastra Times carrying the news of the Festival to the masses.
    SATTVA has been traditionally known for its flagship events like Mr. and Miss. Sattva, Group Dance, Spoof, Street Plays and events like Laser Tag, Angry Birds, Car painting and Sitcom quizzes following suit.
