We know your perpetual complaint against the Samsung Galaxy phones with Super AMOLED aka SAMOLED screens - they burn your wallets. But the Korean phone giant has listened to you and launched the Samsung Galaxy M - which makes your SAMOLED dreams come true for a price you can afford. Samsung calls it an entry-level smartphone and the it is currently available in Korea. As with the rest of the Galaxy phones, Galaxy M runs on Android 2.3 Gengerbread. Samsung justifies the price for the high-end phones (Galaxy S, Galaxy SII, Galaxy Note, Galaxy R etc.) by stripping down the hardware in Galaxy M. But don't be disappointed; we think the specs still are solid, considering an average user's need.

Galaxy M has a 1 GHz single core processor unlike the dual core 1.2 GHz processors regularly found on other smartphones. Take our word - 1 GHz will just work as fine as any other faster processor or at least, won't disappoint you. The camera sheds some pixels and settles for 3 MP, which should please any casual photographer. But on the positive side, Galaxy M boasts bluetooth 3.0 and 4GB of internal storage. The 1650 mAh battery should give you enough talk time for a day. The whole assembly is just 9.9 mm thick and offers a comfortable grip. The color conscious users get three choices viz. Blue Black, Platinum Silver and Lavender Pink. The price is expected to be about $500. We're yet to know the launch dates in other parts of the world and we hope Samsung will bring the phone soon to emerging markets like India.
