Samsung has recently unveiled a revamped version of the Galaxy J5 (2017) in Thailand dubbed Galaxy J5 Pro at THB 9,990 (approx. Rs. 19,000). The up gradation comes mainly in the RAM and storage provisions as the rest of the specifications mostly remain the same. The new beefed up RAM is 3 GB, while the internal memory offered is 32 GB.

The device sporting a 5.2-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7870 SoC with octa-core 1.6 GHz processor and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It features a metal design, fingerprint sensor at the front and 4G VoLTE support. Running on Android 7.0 Nougat the handset also makes room for an expandable storage via microSD card (up to 256GB). It is fired up by a 3000 mAh battery and connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB port, and GPS. The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) smartphone that accepts Micro-SIM.

On the photography front, it packs a 13-megapixel rear and front camera with LED flash on both sides. The rear sensor offers f/1.7 aperture while the front sensor features a f/1.9 aperture. The earlier version of Galaxy J5 (2017) was launched with 2 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 16 GB last month. There is no official word yet regarding the new smartphone's availability for other markets.
