A disc,having 100 mm diameter and 10 mm thickness has to be rotated at a rpm of 100.What would be the suitable hp of the motor to drive it?The weight of the disc is around 250 gms.

    If the end use is only to rotate that disc at 100 RPM and no power taken from the disc, a 4W motor should suffice.
