Panasonic Toughpad A1 and Toughpad B1 Tablets Will Arrive Soon!

The name is "Toughpad", yes, not touchpad. They are as tough as the name suggests. Panasonic unveiled two new Android based tablets, the Toughpad A1 and Toughpad B1. The Toughpad series of tablets are focussed on rough users, workers on the move and would also target business and government users too. High quality support system will also be in place for the tablets with enterprise focussed app store, developer tools and many others.

The Toughpad A1 is a 10-inch tablet and the Toughpad B1 is a 7-inch tablet both ideal for outdoor workers like people working in the field of aviation, construction, hardware professionals, etc. where working conditions makes it difficult to use expensive tablets like iPad. These Android tablets are designed for enhanced security and longer product life to allow government and business enterprises to use them to their full potential without being worried about security issues. These tablets offer security at hardware levels with enhanced VPN, trusted boot and device management which provides hardware and software encryption for secure access to the devices.

These devices would have access to the application rich Android Market and also the enterprise focussed Business AppPortal which offers market specific applications for a wide range enterprise concerns. Enterprises can also customise their applications according to their needs for which Panasonic will be providing private application stores in Business AppPortal.

The Toughpad A1 is loaded with a capacitive 10.1-inch XGA high brightness display with multi-touch along with a stylus and an active digitizer. This Toughpad series has been referred as "Tough" as it has the MIL-STD-810G rating for protection against drops and the Ingress rating for protection against dust and water.
