NHK's World's First Ultra HD Camera That Mounts On Your Shoulder

NHK showcased it's ultra high definition camera that mounts on a shoulder at the NHK Open House 2012. It is capable of recording 33 mp video using a single-chip color imaging sensor. Carrying it along to various shooting locations has become an easy-peasy task. Its size and weight being significantly reduced, you can maneuver it wherever you want.

This compact head can also be used with commercially available still camera lenses. Along with this, NHK has developed a high quality up-converter because since this camera uses a single-chip sensor with Bayer color filter array in which only one color component is acquired. So, the converter estimates the other two color components to convert the output into full resolution video.
