Nanoplug - World’s Smallest Programmable Instant-Fitting Hearing Aid

Nanoplug is a comprehensive hearing aid for those who have partial to moderately-severe hearing loss. With dimensions smaller than that of a coffee bean (7.1 X 5.7 X 4.17 mm), this revolutionary device is the world’s smallest hearing aid that reduces the risk of internal feedback and wind noise. The concept of building such a diminutive device at an affordable price was first proposed by Nevena Zivic and then it was designed and developed by industrial designer, Jongha Lee, audio engineer Mladen Stavri and electromechanical engineer Zoran Marinovi.


The instant-fitting gadget features 8 programmable channels that optimize the frequencies for your ear, nano-technologies, directional technology which allows you to hear from where the sound is coming from, adaptive feedback cancellation in order to stop the amplification of sound that comes from the device’s own internal speaker and adaptive noise reduction- a digital technique for analyzing incoming sound and removing noise from it. If you want to buy this hearing aid, you will have to send hearing prescription so that they can program the device as per the requirements. Hearing Aid Programmer will also be provided for adjustments that can be done at home. It also includes Acous-Tap technology that allows you to program the device for up to different environment (noise) settings such as for a noisy restaurant, watching TV, etc. While switching to different environments in real-time, all you need to do is to tap your ear.


Coming to its working, Nanoplug consists of three fundamental parts- microphone, microchip and receiver. Microphone is used to collect sound from the environment. The incoming sound is converted into digital code by microchip. After analyzing the digital code, adjustments are made based on the hearing loss and the levels of sound in the environment. Along with micro-components, Nanoplug also includes rechargeable nano-battery, which contains no toxic chemicals or heavy metals and provides instantaneous recharge. The Nanoplug tip comes in 3 different sizes- small, medium and big, so that any person (adult or child) can wear it without any problem.
