I don't know what has led you to this confusion.
Of course, you may take admission in an UK University on the basis of your GRE score.

Check the list of UK Universities accepting GRE score:

    1 Oxford
    2 Cambridge
    3 Imperial College
    4 Bath
    5 London, LSE
    6 Warwick
    7 Bristol
    8 York
    9 Nottingham
    10 St Andrews
    11 London,
    12 Manchester
    13 Durham
    14 Loughborough
    15 Edinburgh
    16 Newcastle
    17 Birmingham
    18 Sheffield etc..

UCAS is the main clearing house for university courses. You can search here

Studied in Glasgow but not at this University. It's one of the top research universities in the UK. See Russell Group - <a href="https://www.russellgroup.ac.uk/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Russell Group | Home</a>

Not sure about the GRE requirements but if you email them they'll let you know. AbraKaDabra has said they do.

As regards the city, I hope you like lots of rain!

Some Uni's concentrate on teaching, some on research and teaching. The Research universities (the Russell Group) have 70% of the funding handed out in the UK and get the best researchers / lecturers. They are considered to be the best in the country.

As regards your personal choice, if you want the qualification and want to stay within the academic circle then a Russell Group university should be your first choice.

If you want just the qualification, then you should widen your choice.

    Have you looked at this one? <a href="https://www.cs.bham.ac.uk/~udr/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Uday S. Reddy</a>

    Vijay

Its like comparing a Rolls Royce to an Aston Marin. Any Russell Group uni is excellent (Daughter is PhD from a Russell Group uni)

Have a look at Wikepedia about it <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glasgow_University" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Glasgow University</a>hat did your friend say about studying in the city? See the section in Wikipedia about reputation.

I read somewhere Glasgow's intake is not dependent on UCAS.
