agnipathvayu.cdac.in - Registration, Eligibility and Salary

The registration for candidates for the Agnipath Scheme has began on the official portal: agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The registration of candidates has began on July 27, 2023 and the last date of registration is August 17, 2023.

Indian Air Force (IAF) will only accept the candidates who are registered online. The eligibility criteria for candidates is as follows-

Agniveer VAYU Eligibility Criteria

• Should be an Indian citizen

• Minimum age limit: 17.5 years on the date of enrolment and maximum age is 21 years.

• Only unmarried Indian male and female are eligible as Agniveervayu in IAF.

• Candidates will not be allowed to marry during the tenure. Women candidates shall be required to undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.

Education Criteria:

(a) Science Subjects:-

1. Candidates should have passed Class 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from an Education Board recognized by Central/ State/UT Govt with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

   Or

2. Should have passed three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from Polytechnic Institute recognized by Central/State/UT Govt with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

   Or

3. Should have passed two years Vocational course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognized by Central/State/UT Govt with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

(b) Other than Science Subjects:-

1. Should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from Education Board recognized by Central/State/UT Govt minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

2. Or

3. Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards recognized by Central/State/UT Govt with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

Physical and Medical Standards:

1. Height: Minimum 152.5 cms in male | for female its 152 cm or 147 cm for NE / hilly region candidates

2. Weight: Proportionate to height and age

3. Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing abilities

4. Dental: Healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14-dental points

5. Visual: 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6

Agniveervayu Pay Scale, Salary and Perks

During the four year engagement, the candidates shall be paid as follows:

1. 1st Year: In-hand: 21,000 (monthly)

2. 2nd Year: In-hand: 23,000 (monthly)

3. 3rd Year: In-hand: 25550 (monthly)

4. 4th Year: In-hand: 28000 (monthly)

After four years, candidates shall be able to receive Rs. 10.04 Lakhs as Seva Nidhi Package (absolute amount excluding interest).

In addition, candidates shall be able to avail 30 days leave per year.
