Lumix DMC-3D1 - 12 MegaPixel 3D Camera From Panasonic

Taking 3D pictures and videos may not have caught up with as much but Panasonic is hoping to change things around by introducing its new dual lens 3D camera: Lumix DMC-3D1. It's a compact digital camera boasting folded optics design to capture high resolution images and videos both in 2D and 3D. The dual 25mm ultra wide angle lenses are capable of recording 1920x1080 60i 3D high definition videos and 3D pictures. The camera also provides 169% more viewing space to its users compared to normal 35mm lens cameras.

The Lumix DMC-3D1's 12 megapixel lenses can capture 2D videos and images simultaneously using the two lenses giving opportunity to shoot from two different angles. This makes the DMC-3D1 stand apart from other conventional cameras where only one of the both options can be chosen at a time. The users are also given options to switch between 2D and 3D modes while shooting. Users can now use their creativity to record videos and shoot photos simultaneously using the in-built features available in the camera.

Achieving high quality images and videos using this camera has been made possible using the new Venus Engine and High Sensitivity MOS sensors for both the lenses. These features suppresses the noise which occurs in dark areas and the areas of more light even if both of them occur in the same picture being taken. The DMC-3D1 boasts a quad-CPU which processes full-HD videos in AVCHD or MP4 format in a much faster time utilising the Venus Engine. The camera also features various advanced functions like AF tracking, Face Recognition, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent Handheld Nightshot and many more which can be accessed from the 3.5-inch Smart Touch Screen at the back of the camera.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-3D1 will be on stores from December 2011 with a price tag of $499.99.
