    Autocad - the basic drawing software
    but you being an engineer n not an architect it is advisable to good in SAP .STAD PRO. MAT LAB
    One should concentrate on the designing aspect of civil engineering.

    Auto cad is basic and imp software and stad pro,3d max, is also useful software
