Kobian iXA Tab At INR 3,999 Joins The 'Low-Price Tablet' Bandwagon

Kobian has introduced an Android-powered low cost tab named iXA Tab today. The price tag on it reads INR 3,999, and pre-orders shall be entertained from May 23. Along with a 7" resistive touchscreen and Android 2.3, the features of this iXA Tab boast of a 1Gh Processor, 512MB RAM, plus 4GB internal storage, which can be expanded unto 32GB. A user can surf web, access his e-mail, play videos/songs, play games, read his e-books, and do a lot many other things quite comfortably. The 0.3 megapixel camera functions smooth for clicking pictures and even video chat.#-Link-Snipped-#

The tab thickness is not much, but the reason it may not work out very well with the customers may have to do with the resistive touchscreen it offers, while its competitor in the Aakash tablet has got a capacitive touchscreen. Android Gingerbread being employed instead of ICS should not be a biggie, as long as it works out smooth.
