    Karbonn Mobiles very quietly have put up details about their brand new smartphone on their company website. The Karbonn Quattro L55 HD was spotted by prying eyes of the media late in the afternoon without any official announcement from the company. The new smartphone is part of the new Quattro range and comes with a free VR headset that is based on Google Cardboard platform. The Karbonn VR Glasses are made out of ABS plastic fibre. The Karbonn Quattro L55 HD that shall retail for Rs. 9,990 is also one of the few sub-Rs. 10K smartphones that comes with Voice over LTE (VoLTE) connectivity option.

    The Karbonn Quattro L55 HD sports a 5.5inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution IPS panel display that is sadly not covered with any protective glass. Underneath the hood we find an unspecified chipset that houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM entrusted to do the heavy lifting of the Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. The internal memory of the Karbonn Quattro L55 HD stands at 16GB and you do get the option of expanding the storage to up to 32GB with the help of microSD cards.

    The Karbonn Quattro L55 HD has some decent photographic capabilities thanks to the 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front snapper. This dual-SIM enabled smartphone is powered by a 2700mAh battery that offers 130 hours of standby and 9 hours of talk time with 4 hours of charge. Connectivity options include microUSB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The sensor list consists of G-Sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor.
