Indian IT Industry is growing at a faster pace than ever before. CEO & MD of TCS, India's biggest IT Consultance & Services company, Mr. Chandrasekaran has confirmed that the company had plans of hiring about 30,000 engineers but the company is already hiking the hiring plans to about 50,000 engineers. The company has a policy of recruiting about 70% of the total candidates it makes offers to. In the last fiscal, TCS had hired about 24,000 engineers. And that's just TCS!

NASSCOM allows its member companies to enter the campuses for recruitment only in the 8th semester of engineering. With this, Infosys has mentioned that it may hire about 30,000 - 40,000 engineers by September 2011. Cognizant isn't also behind. Company's Shankar Srinivasan (CPO) has said that the company hired about 27,000 engineers by September 2010 and is expecting similar number of recruits this year. With 20% growth rate of the IT Industry, there will be a demand of over 300,000 skilled engineers, MBAs, BCA, BSc, MCAs.
