It is a government job. Mostly paper pushing.
It is a CSIR institution. Mostly devoted to developing S&T policies, finding possible interaction among various stake holders, sustainable development and such areas. To my knowledge there is no actual hands on research or development done in NITADS. Things might have changed now. I doubt it.
If you are comfortable with data collection, collation, co-ordination, attending meetings (some may call it general faffing around) you can join it.
I may be doing it an injustice. I am told that NISTADS has a good IT activity.
It is outside my ken.
If you are an active hands on engineer, you may get bored.
May be useful to fill a gap and as a spring board to greener pastures.
If you get the impression that I am disillusioned, you are probably right. -
