India's Fastest Elevators @ 21.6 Kph By Mitsubishi In Mumbai
Speed is one factor that drives engineers crazy. Tokyo's mega corporation, Mitsubishi Electric's elevator business has been growing in India since the mid-1990s. The company has announced that it is going to build one of the India's fastest traveling elevators under Ahuja Constructions. Ahuja Tower is a 53-story residential building, currently under construction in Mumbai. There will be in all nine elevators, of which four will travel at the speed of 21.6 KPH or 6 meters per second.

Ahuja Tower
Ahuja Tower resides in Worli area of Mumbai. The construction of this building will be complete by the end of the year. These four super-fast elevators has certain security mechanisms too. For safety, access to some floors of the building will be protected by ID cards. Moreover, in-car touch screen operating panels can be customized to accommodate special needs of the buildings.
Mitsubishi has a large training center in Chennai for engineers engaged in elevator installation and maintenance. Mitsubishi Electric has plans of upgrading its lineup of safe, comfortable vertical transportation solutions that will incorporate standard, high-speed and even super-high-speed elevators. It's definitely going in the right way owing to the rapid construction of modern high-rise buildings in India.
