‘Hyperloop’ Train Could Be Solar-Powered & Twice As Fast As Airplane. Wait, What?

How does it feel to know that a future green train could travel three-four times faster than a bullet train and even surpass an airplane in speed? Tesla Motor’s CEO Elon Musk has plans to achieve just that. What he calls “Hyperloop” is a solar powered transportation system that vows to drive people from Los Angeles to San Francisco in just 30 minutes! You ought to know that the fastest possible way available between LA and SF is by plane, which takes about an hour. He also plans to make the train self-powered and thinks that the system would generate more power than it consumes.

Musk thinks that his concept is similar to the #-Link-Snipped-# transportation network (the one you see in the image above). But wait, it doesn't end there. He wants to design what we call a truly ultimate train, because it will be highly-reliable, inexpensive, weather-proof and resistant to crashes - all that at the same time! Right now it may sound too vague and way too good to be true, but Musk has promised to release more information in the coming weeks. Do you look forward to hearing more about it? Let us know in comments.
