2:-Encrypt important data.
3: Donot run unused daemon(background programmes)
4:-Remove unused setuid/setgid program.
5:-set up loghost
How can we protect the system?
1:-use a switch hub
2:-setup firewall Ex:ipchains programme
3:-setup itrusion Detection system ex:snort
4:-check unintentional changes ex:Tripwire
5:-Backup system often
What should we do after a system is hacked?
1:-shutdown the system
2:-separate system from network
3:-Restore the system with backup or reinstall all programs
4:-connect the system to network
5:-it can be good to call the cycber crime investigators..
