    Expertise comes with experience. The short answer to your question is 'by falling in love with C programming' and then thinking about pointers, arrays, functions when you are in shower or attending your cousin's wedding.

    to be a Good Programmer , Dedication is required . if you want to be a Good programmer , then select one language first , (Example : c language) . you have to do coding daily . because u need practice , and with practice you can improve your logic skill .. So think about it . Best of Luck .
