    see help file, its given much better than I can explain. See How to make a video object and use it to capture images. It's on the matlab help file.

    And for simulink, export the same function in simulink. Thats also clearly given.

    One thing I have noticed about MATLAB is that it has the best best ever help and support documentation!! I learned it completely from there!

    The problem is I cannot really help you as the video format and the size and many other factors can change the way code is written. The help site given above has everything you need to know. how to transfer video to matlab workspace.
