guidance for Robot building using labview

I'm planning to build an autonomous robot that will identify the text that i hold in front of it (the text will be like, DICE, BALL, CYLINDER..) and it should go and pick up the exact item from other things on the table...I wish to implement this using labview (i know most of the basic operations of labview). But i don't know where to start..It'll be very helpfull if someone could guide me..PLEASE!
