Launched in February last year for a price of $999, Google Chromebox for Meetings is an extension of the basic unit where up to 15 users can take part in video conferencing. Ideal for a corporate office environment, the Google Chromebox For Meetings Is The New Video Conferencing Tool In Action has been around for some time and the company has announced its India launch only today. Priced at a much higher cost of Rs. 90,000, this device will soon start selling in the country via online stores. As is mentioned on Google's official website (link at the end) dedicated to this product, the $999 price tag includes first year's $250 management & support fee. The price of Google Chromebox for Meetings in India is about Rs. 30K higher than that in the U.S. So now, let's go ahead and take a look at what the product has to offer for price its customers will be paying.

With Chromebox for Meetings, users can start conversation with their client via one remote control click, share their screen with the other person and even collaborate over documents online. Setting up the device looks hassle free as well. All you need to do is plug it to your display, complete the setup wizard, and that's it. Check out the following video to know how to setup the Chromebox for meetings -

Coming to the specs of the device. The Chromebox runs on a Intel Core i7 processor, has four USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI and a Display Port++. The device supports ethernet and has built in dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. There's a Full HD auto-focus camera in the package (1920 x 1080 pixel resolution) that will adjust the resolution as per the available bandwidth and features auto low-light correction mechanism. If you are wondering about the audio quality, well, Google promises built-in DSP, wideband frequency response and an omni-directional mic with noise filtering. The RF based wireless remote control has a nano USB adapter and a full QWERTY keyboard on its rear end.

It looks like a sudden upsurge of the Chrome OS running devices in India. We recently saw the launch of XOLO Chromebook And Nexian Air Chromebook Launched In India. Moreover, there are new Chromebooks launching from Acer, Dell and Samsung and they may hit Indian shores by the end of this year.

This is a great desktop replacement if all you need is something to surf the internet with and do homework. You will be pleasantly surprised at how fast it loads up and how easy it is to use.
