Fisker Surf At Frankfurt Motor Show

After announcing the Karma sedan in February this year, Fisker now unveiled the Surf at Frankfurt Motor Show. The Karma sedan has already started deliveries to the 3000 odd pre-orders as Surf joins the production lines. The Surf is expected to be delivered world-wide by July 2012.

The shooting brake Surf is an extended version of the Karma measuring about 12.7 to 29.0 cubic feet of expandable room in the rear. A custom set of luggage is under way for the extended space. This extended space also fits in additional headroom for adults, this would add for an ease to those who are six-feet and over in height. It's an added advantage over the Karma sedan.

Surf also features a 133-watt solar panel unit on the roof, which is a 13-watt more than the Karma. Fisker even plans to add additional roof-rails made of standard aluminium which would function as a rack.

Fisker hopes that the Surf would be particularly for Europe as the region has had a long history for their love of larger premium cars. The Karma sedan has been announced in the price range of $95,900 to $108,900 where as no official figures has been announced for the Surf.
