Exynos 4212 - Dual-core 1.5GHz Mobile Processors From Samsung
Samsung has announced its new Exynos 4212 with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. This chip would be used in the new series of smartphones and tablets from Samsung. The Exynos 4212 is being manufactured with a 32nm process which is based on the Cortex A9 chip. This would enable the chip to be 30 per cent more efficient, consume less power along with a 50 per cent performance boost of 3D graphics.
This chip can be compared to the Samsung Galaxy S2's Exynos 4210 processor which is clocked at 1.2GHz and can be overclocked to 1.5GHz. With that in mind, we will have to wait to see how the Exynos 4212 can be overclocked to. Exynos 4212 will also be supporting 1080p video playback and HD images for which Samsung has also included a HDMI 1.4a support on the chip.

Along with that Samsung has also introduced a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor which captures great images in low lighting conditions. This sensor will be supporting 16:9 video both at 30fps and 60 fps. The production is expected to begin in November this year.
And as far as the Exynos 4212 goes, we will be able to check them out by the end of this year and by mid next year we will have them on our smart devices. This could be the road map for Samsung for the 2GHz mobile chip which Samsung promised to deliver at some time in 2012.
