Ematic has announced a eGlide XL Pro 2, a new Android 4.0 powered tablet that is trying to make its place in the over-crowded tablet market by offering a price that is cheaper than its competitors. So, in this tablet along with Android 4.0 OS, we get many pre-installed applications, for instance the Kobo eReading application. There is an Ematic App Shop in place that offers access to the latest apps.

It has a 10" capacitive touch screen and comes with a HD video player supports up to 1080p HD video and games by connecting to an HDTV. HDMI mirroring puts images from the tablet right to the big screen. It runs on a 1GHz Processor and 400MHz GPU. There is a normal 4GB of internal storage plus 5GB of additional cloud storage, and 1GB RAM and support for MicroSD Card slot. The tablet includes a built-in three-axis gyroscope coupled with an accelerometer for advanced motion sensing such as full 3D rotation. It has a front-facing camera and voice recorder. A new feature called EDAN ("Ematic Digital Assistant & Navigator") is preloaded onto the eGlide XL Pro 2. This virtual assistant app uses voice-to-text technology so that users can get rid of typing for interacting with the tablet.
