E-SUITE
Project Abstract / Summary : Our project is intended to prepare a multipurpose wearable suite for soldiers in military field, defense purposes. It is not only used for military purposes , can also be used in mining and also by forest guards.
This project objective is to develop a lightweight, small factor, solider portable advance thermoelectric system ( TE ) system prototype to recover and convert waste heat from a variety of deployed equipment, from the body temperature and from solar power with the ultimate purpose of obtaining additional power for solider battery power applications. The main project objective was to achieve power conversion efficiencies of ~10℅ in a TE system with ~1.6 KW power output for a spectrum of battlefield power applications.
This suite can be used to detect poisonous gases using gas sensors, passive infrared motion sensors detects movement of the enemies and indicates for the awareness.
GPS and GSM modules involves in the transmission of information regarding soldiers and battlefield.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : The military's constant growing power requirement creates a serious current and growing need for battery, to reduce the number of batteries and battery weight required on modern battlefields and also to make use of battlefield fuel more efficiently we have chosen this project.
