Data Aware Caching For Big-Data Applications Using MapReduce Framework

Project Abstract / Summary : We propose Dache , a data-aware cache system for big-data applications using the Map Reduce
framework. Dache aims at extending the Map Reduce framework and provisioning a cache layer for efficiently identifying and accessing cache items in a Map Reduce job. It eliminates all the duplicate tasks in incremental Map Reduce jobs and does not require substantial changes to the application code.
Map Reduce framework is that the framework generates a large amount of intermediate data.Such abundant information is thrown away after the tasks finish, because Map Reduce is unable to utilize them. That data can be of use in future where we require intermediate results hence in this project we concentrate on providing solution to store this intermediate results.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Big data has its application in wide areas such as health care , banking , government sectors and other fields where they involve large amount of data.
Hence we choose to work on this ,we are working on how to increase the efficiency and performance of data.
