For dssd best is hyderabad you might get after 3rd round of seat allotment but chances are low.

First of all i should tell you that i am not an expert in telling you will get it or not.
It depends on how many people withdraw their money after 1st or 2nd round. If you are lucky you might get it.

According to me Bangalore KP and e-city are best after pune becoz it's a software hub and if don't get on campus you might get off campus easily. No idea about C-DAC Mumbai but definitely not better than C-DAC Bangalore.

Go for bangalore e-city or iacsd akrudi if you need hostel. Charges might be around 10 to 12 thousand for 6 months.

Mine was upgraded to sunbeam-pune..
And If you have dress code , you should get a mail from respective center for that.
Else in my suggestion , take the centers number from cdac site and ask them directly, They will answer your all queries.(I have also called to my center many times for diff. queries each time.. 😀😀 ) .
And the best answer you will get.. 😀😀😉

Looks like the CDAC 2014 results are announced today and a lot of people are out searching for theirs.

After declaration of CDAC CAT 2014 result, the center for development of advanced computing will release the C CAT rank list 2014. After the declaration day, the online course and centre selection will begin for first top scorers in CDAC C-CAT result 2014. It means after the declaration day the C-CAT 1st counseling 2014 will begin.

Anyone here knows their result yet?

A+B+C category:

Desd is better than divesd so i would recommend dat only.. divesd is offered only at few centres sunbeam pune should be preffered according to me over noida

CDAC will help you to enhance your knowledge at a practical level but as you are already working in core it is solely your decision on what you want to pursue. Also your rank is good and you surely will get a seat in ACTS,Pune or Hyderabad. You will get opportunities from CDAC to work in core, but getting a higher package is totally on your performance and the company. And one thing your experience will be counted as an add on during your placements after the course. Better look out for past placement records and then take a decision .

Hi everyone. I am an engineer, passed out in 2012 in ECE, got campus placement and working in firmware development in a core company. I am very passionate about Embedded systems. My job profile is very satisfactory to me, but I'm getting a low salary, around 3 LPA, even after 2 years of experience. I tried switching, but the technologies other companies ask for are not the ones I currently work upon, Linux, RTOS etc. I want to LEARN and LEARN, but also want to be financially secure. Please suggest me whether joining CDAC DESD at this stage will prove to be a wise decision for me or not?

Above your rank 169 candidates have applied for PG-DESD.
Above your rank 102 candidates have applied for PG-DIVESD.

If u have growth opportunity and future in ur job then u must continue.
Honestly don't expect a huge package after doing cdac. It may vary from 2.5 to 4.5 For desd pune.. but companies provide better growth opportunities.

At ur rank in pune the centre u can get Is iacsd pune.. try for sunbeam pune its better.

How are the facilities at the IACSD center for DAC (I mean mostly faculty). Is there anybody you know who have passed out from IACSD or anyone who personally know about the center. Please do share some information about the center.

If u have growth opportunity and future in ur job then u must continue.

Thanks for the reply mate. People around me are suggesting things like 'freshers go to do CDAC to get jobs, you already have one why risk it?'. I am in a huge dilemma right now and it's killing me. 😛

But that depends whether they have relevant field experience. Ya some companies do hire freshers but even you would stand a good chance if you have prior work experience of same field. Also don't expect your salary to multiply many folds, because even after CDAC there are chances you may earn the same that you are earning now..

No i personally don't know anyone at iacsd.. so can't give exact details. Their website shows 166 placements with list of students and companies In aug 13.. Kindly research before joining

Which sunbeam centre do you prefer Gultekdi/Karad and I've also heard that banglore ecity is not a very good centre. Do you suggest any changes in list given above?

Sunbeam gultekdi is surely better than karad.. with ur rank u vl get either sunbeam pune or bangalore kp in second allotment.
Don't worry about remaining choices. Fill karad /ecity / hyd/ iacsd all r ok.. just give preference to kp/ pune sunbeam

Well you have good chances of getting there. But what is your first priority. If it Sunbeam Pune, you might get there as well..

Placements in core electronics like embedded or vlsi is always less compared to other fields. But if you will get opportunities. You may directly contact the center in case of such query, they can provide a better insight.

If u have a job or u think u can perform better next time then u must drop.
People get placement from these centres also so its ur decision
