CatBot: Automated Cat Laser

Before moving to my own small house with a large garden I use to live on the fifth floor of a sprawling apartment block. From the balcony I could look down on the roof of the covered walkway leading to one of the entrances to the block. A few cats made it their hideout and had a large family of kittens, which used to gambol about on the roof. I pulled out a laser pointer that I used for presentations and shone the beam down on the roof. Promptly two kittens pounced on the spot. I had lots of fun (as did the kittens) moving the spot about with the kittens haring after it.

I came across this robot that does the same thing. For those two busy to do their own pointing here it is:
