Bluetooth headsets

2 doubts to clear before i buy a bluetooth headset.

1.Can Bluetooth headset be paired with laptop or any PC.
2 Can my mobile and Bluetooth headset be of different brand.

If anyone has experienced these.

    Anyway my second question is done.It can be used with any brands(but the compactiblity needs top be checked).
    Still in doubt regarding whether it can be connected to laptops or not ..Moslty here also the answer is yes.
