Best free HTML editor recommendations

CEans,

Those who have been marking up the text using HTML editors, could you please suggest names of the best HTML editors you have come across?

I'm looking for freeware!

Not sure if there is a "best", but a highly acclaimed multipurpose code editor (including HTML) is Notepad++ 😀

LINK: .:: NOTEPAD++ ::.

Scroll down to see plugins that can be used, such as the HTMLTag one.

1. Its free
2. Its pretty light
3. Lots of decent nifty features

For Java guys, they should check out Gel ... nice free IDE.

I use notepad. Html is so easy that you don't really need an editor.

Coffecup has a good editor but I'm not sure if they still offer a free version.

Cool. I'll have to check it out. Is there any Windows freeware alternative available for TextMate
