Apple iPad Mini- 'The Best Small Tablet'- May Be Launched October 23rd. Excited?

Rumors are running strong that Apple's new 7.85" long baby- the iPad mini- may mark its first global appearance on the 23rd of October this year, reportedly in an invitation-only event at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium.

The iPad-mini, unlike its bigger versons, does not enjoy cellular capabilities and is Wi-Fi only, which means that the price tag on this device won't be reading a big number. With competition from Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7, Apple's grip over the tablet segment has been loosening for a while now, and the small tablet comes as a smart move to make the market feel Apple's presence again. The Nexus 7 has received an amazing response from users (with a super-hardware and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean), and a 3G-compatible version of the same is believed to be under development- putting a big ball of worry in Apple's court.
