Apple Campus 2 Brochure Reveals Cupertino's Spaceship Campus Details To Neighbors

Apple's CFO Peter Oppenheimer sent a Apple Campus 2 brochure to it's neighbors in Cupertino to provide detailed information about Apple's plans for the construction of its spaceship-like campus. Last year in June, when Apple’s late CEO Steve Jobs presented the idea of this campus (video below), he called it the best office building in the world. While that remains to be seen, from what is printed on the brochure, Apple Campus 2 is not going to replace the 1 Infinite Loop campus. It will remain the official corporate headquarters. This new campus will provide state-of-the-art research facility to about 13,000 employees.

The brochure also features a detailed site plan. See below:

Apart from that, the brochure speaks of the Campus 2 fetching a LEED certification and vows that no manufacturing or heavy industrial activity will happen onsite. The roof of the main building is going to be a huge solar array. On the southern corner, Campus 2 will have its world class auditorium where all the epic product launches and corporate events will happen.

While, news has it that the construction is going to be complete by 2015 and the campus will be ready for occupying, it comes as a sad news that Campus 2 will not open to the public. So, there is no museum or corporate store on the cards. Till then see this video to watch Steve talk at his last public appearance -
