RePro 3D - Now Interact With 3D Objects In Naked Eye

By pushing the technology hard, the researchers at Keio University developed a 3D projection system. This 3D projection system let the users to make use of the real-time environment as screen, that means "The approach is based on a retro-reflective projection technology in which several images from a projector array are displayed on a retro-reflective screen. when the user look at the screen through the half mirror, they see a 3d image superimposed on the real screen", explains#-Link-Snipped-#. This new research will sure pave way to 3D based applications, particularly the gaming platforms would reach some great heights in the upcoming years.

This system also uses an infrared camera to read the user's hand gestures and this would act as input signal. Then this input signal would take care of the necessary changes that needs to be done on the 3D screen, in response to user's hand movement. Also the research team is now developing a tactile feedback device that could be wearable on fingers to make sure that they has the sensation of touching the objects on 3D screen. This could make the user interface more real.

This new system overcame the disadvantage encountered by the older methods and now delivers a more smooth 3D display with users could feel what they touching exactly at that spot. Check out the video below which was once science fiction, but real now.
