e-RUPI Explained In 1 Minute

The e-RUPI is a one-time payment solution developed by NPCL to allow users to avail welfare services digitally - without cards or Internet. The e-RUPI will be provided by Government or participating organizations in the form of QR code or SMS. It's a Government initiative to fix the problems with current welfare payments infrastructure. Under the hood, the e-RUPI system uses UPI platform. Each beneficiary is identified using their mobile phone and digital vouchers will be linked to it. No one else, but the beneficiary will be able to redeem this voucher.
