ZTE Nubia Z17 mini with Dual 13 megapixel Rear cameras unveiled in China

Adding a new variant to its Z series, ZTE recently unveiled Nubia Z17 mini in China. The smartphone comes in two variants- the 4 GB RAM variant priced at CNY 1,699 (approx. Rs. 16,000) and an 6 GB RAM variant at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 18,800). Sporting a sleek metal unibody design it features a 5.2-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels) full-HD display with a 2.5D Curved Glass on top.

Powering the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 652 for 4 GB RAM variant while a Snapdragon 653 SoC is paired with a 6 GB RAM variant. The dual-SIM (Micro + Nano/microSD) device runs on Nubia UI 4.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The USP of the smartphone remain its dual 13-megapixel rear cameras, one with monochrome lens and the other one with RGB lens, a Sony IMX258 sensor with f/2.2 aperture, OIS and 4K video recording. There is also a provision of a 16-megapixel front snapper with 80-degree wide-angle lens for selfie enthusiasts. Both the variants of the smartphone come with 64 GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via a microSD card (up to 200 GB).

Nubia Z17 mini is backed up by a 2950 mAh battery with fast charge support. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS + GLONASS, NFC and USB Type-C. It will be offered in Elegant Black, Black with Gold, Champagne Gold and Red options. There's no word yet as to when the smartphone will be launched for the Indian market.
