ZTE Nubia X6 Phablet Features, Specs & Price Revealed
The Chinese mobile manufacturer â ZTE has officially announced its much talked about flagship phablet at an event in Beijing. The device is truly a flagship grade with amazing specifications. The phablet is the successor of the Nubia series and is named ZTE Nubia X6. The previous Nubia line-up of phones include Z5S and Z5S mini.
The ZTE Nubia X6 flaunts a massive 6.44â LCD OGS (One Glass Solution) screen with a resolution of 1920*1080 which results in a pixel density of 344ppi. The X6 has a 7.9mm thin metal chassis with relatively narrow bezels. The phablet will be initially launched with Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB chipset which has 4 Krait 400 cores clocked at 2.3GHz. A second version with Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC which is clocked a bit higher at 2.5GHz will be also available. Both the versions will be having 3GB of RAM.
The device sports a 13MP OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) rear camera which has 5-element lens with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is also a 13MP with BSI sensor which will also be having 5-element lens but with a smaller f/2.2 aperture. The Nubia X6 has a huge 4250mAh battery which will keep the phone running all day long.
On the connectivity side, the phablet supports TD-LTE, FDD-LTE, EVDO, CDMA, GSM, WCDMA and TD-SDCMA and also boasts dual SIM support. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, and USB 3.0 with OTG. It also has 3 microphones for noise cancellation.
The android version is not yet specified. The X6 will be sold in 3 memory options. The base 32GB version with 2.3GHz processor will go on sale in China for 3,000 Yuan ($485) whereas the 64GB model with 2.5GHz processor will be available for 3,500 Yuan ($565). A 128GB model will also be made available for 4,000 Yuan ($645). The availability of the phablet outside China is not yet disclosed. However, the phablet will give tough competition to devices like Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Sony Xperia Z Ultra and LG G Pro 2.
