ZTE Blade X Max with 6.0-inch screen, SD 435 SoC launched in the US for $149.99

Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE has officially announced the ZTE Blade X Max smartphone for its US customers at $149.99 available via the Cricket wireless. Considering its price, the ZTE Blade X Max is a decent offering from the company as it sports a huge full HD 6.0-inch screen, comes loaded with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and houses add-ons like the Dolby Audio providing premium sound for gaming, videos, and music.

The ZTE Blade X Max measures 6.50" x 3.27" x 0.37", weighs 6.93 ounces and features a textured back design. While most of the budget Android smartphones now feature a 5.5-inch or smaller display, the ZTE Blade X Max stands out from the crowd by housing a huge 6-inch Full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) TFT display with Dragontrail glass on the top for protection.

Processing duties are handled by the 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 (MSM8940) Octa-core SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage with room for further storage expansion by up to 128GB using a microSD card.

In the photography department, the ZTE Blade X Max gets a 13-megapixel primary camera accompanied by a LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video chats. The handset also includes a fingerprint scanner beneath the rear camera module for unlocking the device.

On the connectivity front, the ZTE Blade X Max includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. The entire package is powered by a decent 3400mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver a talk time of 17.7 hours and standby time of up to 241 hours with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0.

The ZTE Blade X Max runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and will be available in the US via the Cricket Wireless starting May 12, 2017.
