As far as i have understood yaw rate is caused because of varied coefficient of friction in Tyre, which causes disturbance torque in vehicle and also because of steering system. High yaw rate is not good as it causes loss of steer control whose consequence may be really bad and for deeper knowledge you can study "VEHICLE DYNAMICS AND CONTROL" by "RAJESH RAJAMANI"
