Opening today in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, the Yamuna Expressway is a 6-lane (extendable to 8 lanes), 165 km long, controlled-access highway that connects Greater Noida with Agra. Implemented by Jaypee Group, this project's construction was completed in May 2012, which is two years ahead of its expected completion date and today Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will formally inaugurate it. Being a boon to frequent travelers between these two cities, this expressway has reduced the travel time time by half. So now, people can from India Gate in New Delhi to the Taj Mahal in just two-and-a-half hours.
